Tristán Navaja

After recovering from a food coma, hangover—or both—from a Saturday spent at the Port Market, stroll over to the massive feria that takes place at Tristán Navaja. Feria is a local Uruguayan term that generally translates as “street market,” and Sundays here are universally considered to have the best street market in the Uruguay. When wandering the streets of Tristán Navaja, seemingly anything you’re hoping to find is available in one of the stalls. There are food items such as eggs and cheese and freshly sourced fish from the docks, as well as crafts that locals sell from colorful blankets on the ground. Part rummage sale and part farmers market, the fair covers multiple blocks of the city’s central district. Source: http://travelblog.viator.com/five-must-visit-markets-montevideo-uruguay/ By S
